STEM Professional Pen-Pal – Letters to a Pre-Scientist – 2021 to Present
Pen-pal to elementary and middle-school students belonging to under-represented minorities in STEM in the United States. The goal of the program is to broaden the students’ awareness of STEM professions and inspire all students to explore a future in STEM by discussing higher education paths and the students’ science interests.
Science Fair Judge – Massachusetts Science and Engineering Fair – 2020 to 2021
Judge for Astronomy, Physics, Engineering, and Computer Science related entries to the 2020 and 2021 Massachusetts High School Science and Engineering Fair.
Open Night Presenter – Judson B. Coit Observatory Public Open Nights, Boston University – 2017 to Present
Assisted weekly open nights for the public to use 8-inch telescopes to observe stars, planets, and extended galactic objects.
Science Outreach Coordinator – Ho Tung Visualization Lab, Colgate University – 2013 to 2017
Student coordinator of the Ho Tung Visualization Lab (a planetarium) at Colgate University. Gave “Sky Talks” guest lectures on objects of interest in the night sky, ran science outreach events with local schools and groups on a variety of topics, including volcanoes, weather, comets, asteroids, and deep-space objects.
Open Night Presenter – Foggy Bottom Observatory Public Open Nights, Colgate University – 2014 to 2017
Operated telescopes and interfaced with the public during open-house events at the Foggy Bottom Observatory at Colgate University.

Astronomy Department Graduate Student Representative– Graduate Student Organization, Boston University – 2020 to 2021
Elected representative to the multi-disciplinary Boston University Graduate Student Organization. Planned activities for the broader graduate student community and penned letters to the administration advocating for student rights.
Representative to the Faculty– Department of Astronomy, Boston University– 2019 to 2020
Elected liaison between the graduate students and faculty members of the department. Implemented anti-racism statements and programming, and organized the transition to remote learning during the start of the COVID-19 Pandemic.
